Why I Listen to Gary Vaynerchuk Every Day

February 8, 2017

Throughout my life, I have been drawn to certain musicians, authors, artists, comedians, and business leaders.

I can’t seem to get enough of their material because no matter how many times I read their books, listen to their song, hear a speech, or watch their performance, I always learn something new.

For the past 18 months, Gary Vaynerchuk is the guy.

I listen to him several hours each week. Just one comment can spark creative ideas that may make a huge difference in my business.

As an example, here are some notes I jotted down this morning as I listened to a 30-minute keynote address...

  • Many industries are moving quickly to a direct-to-consumer (“D2C”) model. How are you positioning yourself?

  • Reverse engineer consumer behavior.

  • If measuring results was the key to a successful marketing campaign, everyone would be wildly successful. Selling is more art than math.

  • Next to health, time is our most valued asset. If your sales or marketing campaign steals their time without delivering value, you are damaging your brand.

  • Before you offer something to your audience, ask if it’s helping them.

  • Consumers love watching video, they just don’t watch TV commercials.

If you're interested in social media marketing or growing your business, I implore you to check out his material.
